Archos GamePad 2 leaks with quad-core CPU

The Archos GamePad 2 has surfaced online ahead of its formal announcement, leading many to believe the debut is soon at hand.

The preliminary specs, which have since been pulled down, indicate a 1.6GHz quad-core processor and 2GB is in order for the device. Additionally, the GamePad 2 should offer 8GB or 16GB storage options, microSD expansion, and a 7-inch IPS display at 1280×800 resolution.

No indication, just yet, on what pricing and availability are but we suspect we’ll learn in short order.
