We’re huge fans of changing the home screen around a bit and creating a new user experience for our Android. So much so that we present this weekly series of Get This Look posts.
In a nutshell we show you a new look for your Android handset and tell you which apps you’ll need if you want to mimic the feel. Some of these are a little easier to create than others and many of them can be tweaked to no end. The following details are but the ingredients to which you can create your own delicious Android dish; your results will vary. Which is awesome!
If nothing else, this is a great way to discover new apps, widgets, icons, and more!

WHY WE LOVE THIS LOOK:
We love the “just the facts, ma’am” approach of this layout as it’s basically the stuff we check on a regular basis. Time, calls, messages, and battery are displayed in one of the most stunning widgets we’ve ever seen, Colors balance perfectly and we’re content with opening the app drawer up for everything else. This design looks sharp whether you’re a guy or a gal and it speaks to Android’s customization without beating us over the head with icons, widgets, text, and shortcuts.
Yes, you can change the wallpaper…but we would recommend keeping it very simple and clutter-free.
The apps used in this design can be used to create some other fantastic layouts, some of which can be found in other Get This Look features.
