Fresh images confirm Android 4.4’s ‘Tap & Pay’ (UPDATED)

We might be a few days from seeing Android 4.4 KitKat and the Nexus 5 arrive; we should not be surprised if a ton of things leak over this weekend. Take these new photos, for instance, which confirm the details that KitKat will bake in some mobile payment options. The pictures, which come from Italian blog TuttoAndroid, don’t dive deep into the feature so it’s still unclear how this works. Will it tie specifically to your Google Wallet account? Can you integrate other services like PayPal? We’ll find out soon enough.

As for the device shown in the pictures? Yes, it’s a Nexus 5. According to the person who spent some time with the phone, here’s what they have to say. Keep in mind this is translated…

It’s very light, which is usually something “bigger” also weighs more, but this Nexus not, and is slightly higher than the Nexus 4. The design is identical to the leak and specifications are confirmed. The rear part is rubber type.

Here’s another trio that show a hint of Android 4.4’s design. You’ll notice slightly different icons as well as the removal of a black notification bar. The top and bottom edges of the screen seem to have a fade-out look to them.  You digging it?
