Alleged final Nexus 5 press renders surface

With what’s likely only a matter of days to go before the Nexus 5 officially breaks cover we should not be surprised that details and leaks keep surfacing. According to the team at Mobile Syrup, the above images are said to be the final look of the Nexus 5 smartphone.

Nothing new…or is there?

Things match up with all of the recent leaks and rumors and seem to confirm the transparent notification bar and app launcher. Of particular note is the Hangouts in the bottom row of apps; this is where messaging apps normal reside. Sounds like additional fuel for the fire that is the unified messaging experience. Hangouts is expected to soon integrate SMS and MMS messaging with Android 4.4 KitKat.
