Samsung confirms U.S. availability of Galaxy S4 Mini
Samsung on Wednesday confirmed that the Galaxy S4 Mini will be available in the United States starting in November. Pricing and exact timing details, however, are not made clear in the press release. Instead, we might look for the various wireless providers to soon make their own respective announcements.
According to Samsung, AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and U.S. Cellular are lined up to offer the handset. Sorry, T-Mobile customers, you don’t look to be in the hunt.
Powered by Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the Galaxy S4 Mini features a 4.3-inch qHD display, 8-megapixel rear camera, and 16GB internal storage. The 1.7GHz dual-core processor and 1.5GB RAM should be more than adequate for the average user and the microSD expansion slot provides up to 64GB storage.
As is the case with other Samsung smartphones, the Galaxy S4 includes plenty of custom software touches. Among other apps and services, the handset features WatchOn, S Beam, Easy Mode, and numerous shooting modes.
