ESPN rebrands ScoreCenter to SportsCenter

ESPN is doing away with the ScoreCenter name for its mobile app. Going forward we should look for the more traditional-sounding SportsSenter brand. According to TechCrunch, this is part of a consolidation of other apps that began nearly a year and a half ago.

The SportsCenter app will continue where the previous app left off and feature plenty of customization and personalization. What’s more, the Android app should look less like an iOS port and start to evolve on its own and take on some of Android’s design cues.
