Lono Sprinkler Controller
The Lono controller replaces your existing sprinkler system or works for new installs. It has wifi, bluetooth, a battery backup, snooze button, and slots for up to 20 zones all surrounded by a splash resistant case. A companion smart phone app allows you to interact with your system from just about anywhere.
This one has already smashed its funding goal and will have an Android version of the app coded for release!
Opera 18 browser
Opera is well-known for its mobile phone browsers, but with the release of Opera 18, the new browser has been tailored specifically for a tablet UX. With Opera 18 for Android, tablets get the all-inclusive Opera browser treatment, including the Discover feature, the Off-Road mode, which compresses data traffic to minimize data usage, and Speed Dial, an Opera innovation, which allows you to easily access your most frequently visited webpages.
The annual Consumer Reports service ratings survey is out and it sees Sprint coming in last place with “dismal” marks for value, voice, text, and 4G reliability. Verizon is the top major carrier followed bu AT&T and T-Mobile, who received “ho hum” scores.
