Samsung Galaxy S5 and Note 4 to feature PLS LCD display?

There was a time, when Samsung Galaxy series was famous for having “AMOLED or Super AMOLED” display, and it is still famous for it. Samsung is rocking at the top of the Android market, and their smartphones are top notch, for example more than 10 million Samsung Galaxy S4 units were sold in first month, and more than 10 million Galaxy Note devices are shipped in two months. So, we can say that Samsung is on a roll right now.

However, it seems Samsung is planning to make a change in their future devices, as a Korean news site is reporting that the upcoming premium Samsung smartphones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Note 4, will feature PLS LCD display instead of AMOLED. If you are thinking why, then the answer is ” it would cut production costs by 20%”.

We might see a lot of major changes in the S5, like the aluminum unibody, but nothing is set on stone right now and we are not planning to put all our money on this rumor. Although, MWC 2014 is a just a few weeks ahead, so hopefully the cat will be out of the bag sooner or later.

Are you in favor of PLS LCD or SAMOLED? Tell us about it in the comment box below.
