Fleksy keyboard launches Messenger App for Samsung Gear 2 Smartwatch
One of our long-time favorite keyboards is making it’s way to the Gear 2.
Although many would say that a wristwatch is no place for a virtual keyboard, that doesn’t stop Fleksy, one of the most innovative Android keyboard companies to date. Today they’re announcing a new Messenger App that allows users to respond to text messages/emails/etc. directly from their wrist.
The biggest challenge when making a keyboard for a 1.5″ screen is the input quality. Anyone can sit there and try to type as much as they want, but not all keyboards have the prediction software to follow through.
Fleksy’s founder/COO, Ioannis Verdelis, explains,
While the keyboard race is heating up, Fleksy’s next generation technology is the first to actually make typing comfortable on all types of devices. We are redefining the use case for wearable tech, and the accuracy of Fleksy on a watch really has to be seen to be believed. We are also now firmly a multi-platform keyboard, having had presence on iOS since 2012, on Android since 2013, and now on Tizen too!
Though we personally have yet to try the new app, we’re confident in Fleksy’s prediction technology that it won’t be a total trainwreck. If you’d like to try out Fleksy for yourself, head over to the Play Store for your free trial. You’ll be glad you did!
