Motorola VP confirms Moto X will receive Android L update

Owners of the Moto X will be pleased to learn that their smartphone will pick up the update to Android L when it’s ultimately released. When asked on Google+ whether the handset would see the next version of Android, Motorola VP Punit Soni replied simply, “Yup.”

While this isn’t the same as a blog post on the Motorola website, we’ll take it as gospel. Soni is the VP, Product Management at Motorola Mobility (Google) and is in perfect position to know what’s up. Besides, Motorola has been very good about pushing out timely updates and the phone is just now hitting its one year anniversary.
