Google adds ‘call me back’ feature to Android Device Manager
Google just rolled out another update to its Android Device Manager application which main function is to help you when your device is either lost or stolen.
In the latest build, version 1.3.8, Google adds the ability to set a ‘call me back’ phone number to recover a lost device. Any future Good Samaritan who finds your device may better now how and where to return your phone.
The feature is similar to programming your phone for an ‘in case of emergency’ situation, and is a rather important tool in recovering your device. In addition to the ‘call me back’ feature, Google also fixed bugs and performance issues. If you haven’t already downloaded and installed the Android Device Manager, I suggest you do before you lose the chance when your device is lost.
