Wally: Wallpaper app with Material Design [App of the Day]

Like many of you, I’m pumped for Android L and the refreshed design language that will come with. Developers have been given a taste as to what Android’s next design principles are with the Android L Developer Preview, which mainly highlights Material Design.

Only a handful of apps have updated to this design, and Wally is one of them. Your next beautiful wallpaper app is here with nice animations and the new design that makes the navigation bar and notification bar transparent. The app is a bit behind when it comes to the additional functionality of other wallpaper apps like Zedge, and a lot of the wallpapers featured are just photo shoots of models, but I still can’t help but be hooked to the UI and design. Of course, there are still plenty of really cool other wallpapers in the app, and you can swipe down to shuffle for more or you can filter the photos to find certain resolutions and aspect ratios, which I really like because I’m all about those super crisp wallpapers.

Check out the Google Play link below, there’s bound to be a wallpaper just for you!
