Moto 360 smartwatch listed at BestBuy
Motorola’s long-awaited smartwatch seems to be close to release. Motorola announced their press event will take place at IFA on September 4th by teasing Moto G, Moto X and Moto 360 along what seems to be some sort of bluetooth headset or something similar. Surprisingly, Moto 360 has been listed at BestBuy today.
The biggest surprise here is a Texas Instruments CPU, instead of a Snapdragon 400 which was rumored recently. This wouldn’t be such a surprise if this company didn’t officially leave mobile space 2 years ago. The smartwatch is listed for $249, which is acceptable, considering some rumors pointed towards a much higher price. The listing says the device will sport a 1.5″ LCD display 320 x 290 in resolution along with 512MB of internal storage and an IP67 certification for water and dust resistance. No word on the amount of RAM though. This listing also confirms a stainless steel casing and a leather strap along with Bluetooth 4.0 and support for Android 4.3+ devices. Plastic back, heart rate monitor and a pedometer are also a part of the package. If you want to see the listing yourself, follow the source link below.
Many people are waiting for this thing to launch after being disappointed with what LG and Samsung had to offer back when they released their Android Wear smartwatches. Luckily will see this thing launched really soon. Anyone takers?
