Sharp announces the Aquos Crystal and Crystal X
Sharp released two incredibly impressive designed smartphones today named the Aquos Crystal and the Crystal. The first thing you notice when looking at the images is that the bezels on the phone are virtually non-existent. We’ve seen small bezels before on the LG G3 and LG G2, but nothing like these new phones from Sharp where there is no bezel on the top side of the phone where you normally would find an earphone speaker grill. The phones in the images are absolutely gorgeous and gives me phone envy. The Aquos Crystal is the “mid-range” phone and will come with a 5 inch 720p display and Snapdragon 400 1.2GHz processor. Storage clicks in at a very modest 8GB, but it will come with a MicroSD card slot to expand your storage options, and it will arrive with 1.5GB of RAM. Like the HTC One Harman Kardon edition, this phone will come with software tweaks from the aforementioned company to give users a better experience with their music and other media(‘Crystal’ sound). This model is U.S. bound and is expected to be announced at Sprint tomorrow with availability on August 29thand will hopefully come with a price tag to match its modest specs.
The Japan only Crystal X version is packed with high end flagship hardware; 5.5 inch 1080P display, Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.3GHz and it will come with 2GB of RAM. This phone is expected to come with a 13MP camera with a 1.2MP front shooter. The Crystal X is expected to run Android 4.4.4 out of the box.
