Oppo launches high-end R1C and low to mid-range Mirror 3

We’re only 15 days into 2015 and Chinese-manufacturer Oppo just announced two new smartphones, the high-end R1C and the mid-range Mirror 3.

Going on sale Jan. 20 for 2499 RMB ($404 USD), the R1C sports a 5-inch 720p display, 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage, expandable to 128GB via MicroSD, 5 MP front-facing camera and 13 MP rear-facing camera (a Sony IMX214 with a f/2.0 aperture), 2420 mAh battery and running Android 4.4-based Color OS 2.0.1 under the hood. All of this is contained in a device that’s 6.85mm thin plus it has a sapphire glass panel.

As for the Mirror 3, which is OPPO’s newest low to mid-range smartphone, it features a 4.7-inch 720p IPS unit with a 312ppi pixel density, 64-bit Snapdragon 410 SoC with a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB of storage that’s expandable via MicroSD and runs on the same Android 4.4-based Color OS 2.0.1.

According to GSMArena, the device will sell for about $280 when converted to USD.
