It has been a while since we have had any substantial news come out of Opera. For those of you that have no idea who Opera is, they were one of the first internet browsers to implement data compression to make pages load faster while using less data. Today they are reporting an update to their Mini version of opera for Android which brings with it a Material Design makeover. What does that mean exactly? Well for starters, the menu has been simplified, so you can change your setting faster without having to hunt all over the place if you want to make some adjustments to the app. The Speed Dial has also been overhauled to help you get to your favorite website faster, we wouldn’t want you to lose track of what is happening all of the world of course.

This coincides with Opera announcement stating they wish to have over 275 million users by 2017

There are also some added features such as private browsing, updates to the Discover newsfeed and a data counter was also added. If these added features and Material Design UI updates have you salivating, and you have gotten tired of your current web browser, then head on over to the Play Store using the link below to download Opera Mini (Remember to let us know in the comment section below if you like the app, otherwise we wont be able to sleep tonight).
