AllCall Rio specifications revealed

AllCall today released the specifications for its upcoming Rio smartphone, and, from the sounds of it, we’ll be in for another budget-friendly affair out of the Hong Kong-based maker.

Powered by Android 7.0 Nougat, the AllCall Rio figures to be an entry-level experience, by pretty much every standard. Details include a MediaTek MTK6580A quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.

The AllCall Rio offers up an 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel rear camera setup; the front-facing camera details are not known. The 5-inch Sharp HD display has a curved glass with a 1.8mm protector on top; resolution, we presume is 1280×720 pixels.

Other specifications for the Rio include a 2,700mAh battery, dual-SIM dual standby, “ultra powerful” speakers, and a metal body to keep everything safe.

It is not clear what price we might expect for the AllCall Rio, but we’re guessing it’s really low. The Bro, which is similarly designed, is only $65. Also unclear at this point is the launch date for the AllCall Rio.

The only catch with these sort of unlocked phones is ensuring they work with your respective carrier. Should they not, you’ll end up with a less-than-desirable data connection.

In the meanwhile, head to AllCall’s website to learn more about the Rio and its other products.
