The Mobile World Congress was dominated by Android iPhone X clones in 2018. But what if you’re not a fan of the Notch? Well, unfortunately, it’s probably going to prove quite difficult to find more unique phones this year. However, it’s not impossible.
For example, Chinese company Bluboo had a pretty interesting phone on display during the Barcelona event. It’s called the Bluboo S2 and comes packing a unique main rotating camera. The module can be flipped around in order to act as a front-facing snapper. The device does not come with a separate selfie-camera. The phone has yet-to-be-released on the market.
Meet the Bluboo S2’s accessories
In recent days, the Chinese smartphone company has revealed that Bluboo S2 will ship out with a series of camera accessories meant to improve the user experience, but also make your device look cooler.
With this accessories, users will be able to easily rotate the camera using one finger (as shown in the image below). Designed in different shapes and colors, they can be used for decoration purposes as well, so your device can stand out of the crowd.
While Bluboo has yet to share the full spec-sheet of the upcoming phone, we do know the S2 will arrive on the market with a 6-inch fullHD+ display with rounded corners. Obviously, this is a handset featuring the modern 18:9 aspect ratio and boasting a fingerprint scanner on the back.
The main attraction here is the rotating 21-megapixel sensor by Sony, whose mechanism is good for up to 100,000 uses, according to Bluboo.
The phone is expected to launch with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, which is more than can be said for a lot of smartphones launching today.
Anyway, for the time being, Bluboo hasn’t said anything about when the phone will be available for purchase. But we can speculate it shouldn’t take long before that happens.
