Oukitel reveals full specs of its upcoming WP5000 rugged smartphone (Promoted)

Chinese smartphone maker, Oukitel is preparing to launch a new rugged smartphone called the WP5000. The device should go on sale by the end of this month or in early April.

We detailed the WP5000 in a series of previous posts and now we have more info to share with you on the matter.

Oukitel has just released the first hands-on video featuring the handset. As you can see in the clip, the WP5000 features a bunch of neat features including a super power saving mode, as well as an advanced screenshot tool. Users will also be able to answer phone calls merely by shaking their phone, even under water.

The phone is expected to launch with a 2.5GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 processor under the hood, which scored 73,119 points in AnTuTu. Oukitel will also throw in 6GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.

Keeping up with the trends, the Oukitel WP5000 will land on the market with a 5.7-inch display with FHD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.

In the photography department, the device will offer the services of a rear-facing dual-camera setup with 21-megapixel+5-megapixel sensors. The WP5000 relies on a 13-megapixel secondary snapper for selfie-taking.

The device includes a large 5,200 mAh battery said to be able to offer up to 3 days of use. It will ship out with a 9V/2A charger.

The Oukitel WP5000 will be available in three colors including Black, Orange, and Green.

While we don’t know the exact date when this IP68-rated phone will go on sale, you can go ahead and register your interest for the phone on the Oukitel official page. Subscribers will be able to get the phone at a lower price using a $40 coupon.
