Motorola Working on HD 10-inch Tablet, Packing Ice Cream Sandwich?
It’s that time of the week again, as the rumor mill is in full swing, this time with a new tablet from Motorola that’s sure to turn some heads (if it even exists). A rumor has reached the guys over at SlashGear, and it’s proposing that Moto is working on a new Android tablet, one to truly rival the iPad 2. This device is said to sport a 10-inch HD display, with a 2048 x 1536 resolution, and the speculation doesn’t end there. The rumored tablet will be running Ice Cream Sandwich, something we haven’t heard much about since Eric Schmidt gave us some details on it.

Cricket Launches Gingerbread-Powered Huawei Ascend II
Remember the Huawei Ascend? It launched on Cricket Wireless in October of last year, along with a few other regional carriers. Well, it looks like Huawei has put the finishing touches on the successor to the Ascend, which they’re calling, creatively enough, the Ascend II. It’s packing a 3.5-inch HVGA display, a measly 600MHz processor, Gingerbread (Android 2.3), 5MP camera, and the usual WiFi, 3G connectivity, and a micro SD card slot.

Motorola Xoom Android 3.2 Update Rolling Out, Includes SD Card Support
We first heard about Android 3.2 when Huawei announced their 7-inch MediaPad last month, and we learned that it is essentially a version of Honeycomb that was built with more processors and smaller displays in mind. It would appear that the guys over at DroidLife have gotten their hands on some information, and they’re claiming that the Moto Xoom is getting a 3.2 update that’s already begun to roll out in small batches.

Droid Charge Gingerbread Update Spotted in the Wild
Personally, I’ve always wondered why the Samsung Droid Charge was launched with Froyo instead of Gingerbread. The only logical explanation that comes to mind is that Samsung hadn’t yet perfected TouchWiz to work with 2.3. Those days may be coming to an end, however, as the guys over at VZBuzz have gotten their hands on a video of the Droid Charge running what appears to be the official Gingerbread update. Mashwork, a social media listening firm, has apparently gathered some social data regarding both the Galaxy S II and the Droid Bionic, and the hype seems to be pointed toward the S II.
