Android 3.0 Gives Andy Some Screen Time!
I would say, with little doubt, that one of the coolest things about being in android fan boy is our mascot. We love our little green dot, we really do. With throw him on T-shirts, cover everything we own in decals, fill shelves with his …

Open NFC is Released!
Say what you will about the Nexus S, it brought into sharp relief a technology that is all but ignored in the US – Near Field Communications. While tech hungry young adults the world over celebrated this as some kind of new and inventive thing, …

The Kyocera Echo: Dead on Arrival?
I have been of a mind since I started writing that there is a purpose for each Android phone that has been made to date; that there are those who would choose that device and enjoy it. You have your superphone users, those who are …

Meet the DeadZebra Series 2 Android Figurines
We love them. Google loves them. We buy them by the box, Google buys them by the pallet.

It’s the February Streamly.TV SUPAHCONTEST!
That’s right, it’s February. It’s cold in most of the US, Valentine’s Day is looming about, and we’re all sitting here waiting for all the great stuff we’ve seen at CES and MWC to get released. Well, we here at Streamly.TV and friends figured that …

Hulu Rep Speaks Out on GoogleTV
It seems that I have a problem. Whenever something comes out with the Google logo on it, I am drawn to it in a way that has been described as “reason enough for scientists to rethink motion based physics”. I am a happy beta supporter, and feel that my opinion in those arenas help in some small way to engineer the future of that device. So, like every other Google product, I have a Logitech Revue. I accepted the device for what it was, despite not being able to fully enjoy it (I don’t yet have a HD cable box).

Fanboys, Enthusiasts, Enablers, Advocates, Supporters, Promoters, or whatever you decide to call yourself today. You are the tech guy (or gal). Those around you look to you for advice, support, and the inside scoop on what’s next. Everyone that fits this description does a variant …

App Review: Thumb Keyboard – The First Universally Functional Keyboard
When we made mention of SwitftKey’s new tablet optimization, we didn’t want the smaller developers to be forgotten. Beansoft has had a tablet optimized keyboard available for months now. So naturally, we at AG wanted to put it through its paces. I’m a huge fan …

What’s the Launcher for me?
I stand beside my time honored statement that what allows Android to be successful is not this enlarged definition of open, but choice. You can choose a carrier, choose a style of phone, and choose a manufacturer before you even turn one on. Once you get …

Moving from iOS to Android for Christmas? Here’s What You Need to Know
So let’s say, hypothetically, you had that random family member who had been using an iPhone for a little while, and their jealousy of your phone caused them to desire to switch. If that story doesn’t work, insert your own. Chances are at least a …

Viewsonic’s 10.1 Pulled from Shelves, Citing “Manufacturer’s Defects”
The Android tablet war has not been a great one so far. Let’s face it, the graveyard is far deeper then the trophy wall right now. We know we’ve got some really great stuff on the horizon, but for the moment it doesn’t look good. …

Busy Week for CyanogenMod team; CM6.1.1 and WiMax!
It has been said that Google was intent on keeping everyone excited this December, and with their releases of Gingerbread, the Nexus S release, ChromeOS’ debut, and the CR-48 shipments it has become clear that they intended to deliver. It seemed that with the CyanogenMod …

Android Gaming gets Unreal with Dungeon Defenders: First Wave
I have often scoffed at the idea of your phone being considered a gaming console. I’m not sure why, seeing as how I do everything else on it, but “serious” gaming has never really occurred to me. Angry Birds is awesome, but I play it for a minute or two and put it away. It’s something I do when waiting in line or something, it doesn’t bear the same significance as a proper release title on a console or a computer.
