While you may not yet be able to get your hands on a Nexus 7 tablet – arguably the tablet to beat right now, those with developer / I/O versions of the tablet in-hand are seeing updates to a new version of Jelly Bean. The update is Android 4.1.1, which was given to AOSP yesterday, and clocks in at 12.6MB. This means that it’s not a huge overhaul, but it is listed as having both a boost to performance, and – yes – Google Wallet preinstalled.
The OTA update will come down, as long as you have stock recovery. OTA Rootkeeper will, well, keep your root after flashing, so no gymnastics trying to get root back afterwards… after all, it is a Nexus device.
There are some other inclusions as well, such as Google Now and new notifications.
