Watching television shows and sporting events on your Verizon handset just became a little bit easier. Starting today, Verizon’s VCAST service can be found in the Android Market, giving customers access to news and sports on demand regardless of location. Newly added programming from the likes of A&E and Lifetime add to the list of over 230 full-length programs already available. Later this week Univision Interactive Media will be streaming live coverage of all 64 of its Spanish-language broadcasts of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Verizon customers can download VCAST today and sign up for the service. The cost is $10 per month and is added to your bill on top of your standard data rates.
