Verizon brings on the $30 upgrade fee

Those on the Big Red Network may want to cash in your upgrades soon if you can. On April 22nd, Verizon is upping its upgrade fee to $30 to help them “continue to provide customers with the level of service and support they have come to expect which includes Wireless Workshops, online educational tools, and consultations with experts who provide advice and guidance on devices that are more sophisticated than ever.” Whew, what a mouthful. Now while I’m sure this will frustrate subscribers, particularly those that have been with them long term, this is right in line with what the other major carriers have done. Actually we can shoot some kudos Verizon’s way for being the last to up the upgrade pricing.

Verizon users, sound off. Is this going to change your upgrade plans? Will this push you to consider other wireless options? Let us know in the comments!
