ZTE V987 revealed to be 5-inch Grand S sibling

Seeing as how the bigger handset makers were largely absent at CES this year, ZTE tried to steal the show when they launched the ZTE Grand S flagship device. Now, it looks like ZTE is looking to launch yet another Android powered phone, a budget alternative to the Grand S. It is known as the ZTE V987, and we learned of it from a leak over at the Chinese regulatory database known as TENAA.

zte-v987The design structure is same as Grand S, although it is a tad bit fatter as compared. It features a 5-inch display with 720p resolution, an unknown 1.2GHz quad-core chip, 8 mega-pixel camera, 2500mAh battery, and a dual-SIM support (GSM+WCDMA). The battery size is almost double than the one in the Grand S, giving it an extra edge.

The device looks like an excellent alternative to the ZTE Grand S but what do you people think? Is the V987 a better option because of the large battery size or not? Would you scoop one up if your carrier offered the phone? Tell us about it in the comment box below.
