With but just a few weeks to go until we hit the new year, it’s time to look ahead to the upcoming crop of smartphones. One handset maker, Oukitel, has a solid history of offering devices with extremely high capacity batteries every few months. Indeed, that looks to be the case as a new K10 is expected in short order.
Look out, this one is going to boast an incredibly generous 11,000mAh power supply. That’s like an entire week’s worth of juice for a basic phone user.
Though there’s little known about the K10, we do see it’s not just about the power supply. Reportedly, the Oukitel phone will pack a 6-inch full HD display at 2160 x 1080 pixel resolution with the increasingly popular 18:9 aspect ratio.
Instead of opting for the 2.5D curved screen, Oukitel is going for a prismatic cutting and polishing technique which takes about four days. Additionally, the handset will have a magnesium alloy frame and real Australian calf leather on the rear. In other words, it’s a pretty premium design — at least on paper.
We also see that the K10 will pack 6GB RAM with 64GB of internal space. It’s not known whether there’s room to add more storage via microSD card but, either way, this is an admirable amount of performance heading into 2018.
Getting back to the battery, we understand it will be in built-in unit from BAK and will feature intelligent power consumption and management. Charging is done via a 5V/5A charger and is alleged to take it from empty to full in 2.5 hours.
Look for more details on the Oukitel K10 to surface in the coming weeks.
