Oukitel MIX 2 goes head to head with the Xiaomi MIX 2 in a new video (Promoted)

In order to show off the real-world performance of its own MIX 2 smartphone, Oukitel has published a video on YouTube showcasing it in a side-by-side competition with Xiaomi’s MIX 2. The two phones behave in very similar ways and have similar aesthetics – definitely a win for Oukitel, given that its MIX 2 is up for pre-order for just $229.99, compared to Xiaomi’s $540 MIX 2.

Specs-wise, the Oukitel MIX 2 is pretty solid, if not terribly mind-blowing. It’s got a 6″ 1080p display, a MediaTek 6757V octa-core processor, 6/64GB RAM/ROM, a 16/3MP rear camera and 8MP front camera, and runs Android 7.0 out of the box. At the $250 price point those specs are relatively common, though the 6GB of RAM is definitely a standout. With Oukitel directly comparing its MIX 2 to Xiaomi’s model, it can really only be considered a win for it. But with so many impressive budget phones coming out stateside, it has a bit of an uphill battle to break into the U.S. market.

Oukitel’s MIX 2 is up for pre-order from November 27th to December 4th, with the first units shipping out after December 17th. Ordering now with the coupon code OukMIX2 will get you $40 off the $269.99 pre-order price, bringing your total down to $229.99.
