I don’t know what it is about the whole badge idea, but it is a pretty successful mechanic to attract users to an application. Perhaps it has something to do with the whole “gotta catch em all” kind of thing. Regardless of the reason, badges bring traffic to apps, and Everbadge is there to help devs try to leverage that traffic.
