Well if you still use an LG Ally, Verizon is rolling out a software update to Android 2.2.2. In the update is really nothing major, but it just shows that Verizon and LG haven’t dropped the LG Ally off their update list yet.
Even if it actually is last year’s Verizon LG Ally, Alltel subscribers have another Android phone to look forward too. Starting today, customers can pick one up for $89.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate.
According to LG’s official forum, Verizon’s LG Ally handsets will see Android 2.2 in February 2011. After making its debut with Android 2.1 all the way back in May 2010, the handset maker later promised Android 2.2 would eventually come.
