Just days after Google Books went live in the UK so too has Google Movies although not quite completely. The Android Market hasn’t been updated to allow you to browse
I have not written an opinion piece in a long while, mostly because I usually cover my opinions when we have a “Rayge Against the Machine” segment on AGTN. But this morning, I find myself dusting off the old opinion button here at AG, because of the fact that those of us, (pretty much everyone reading this blog), who have rooted devices will not be able to rent movies on the shiny new offering from Google in the Android Web Market.
Along with Google Music, the search giant had a big surprise in store for Android enthusiasts at I/O today. We are pleased to report that Google has launched a movie rental and streaming service on Android!
Simple entitled, “Movies”, the service will allow you to rent and purchase movies right on your Android devices, and even allowing you to watch the media on Android web Market! The setup will be familiar to you, as when you rent a video you have up to 30 days to initialize the viewing, then 24 hours to watch the content.
