Acer is well known for producing affordable award-winning Chromebooks and has a new one for us from CES 2019 this year. Introducing Acer’s Chromebook 315 powered by AMD processors for the very first time.

Specifically, the Chromebook 315 will be powered by either the AMD A6-9220C or A4-9120C and Radeon graphics to drive the large 15.6-inch display. Acer promises the revamped 7th gen AMD processors offer plenty of power to run demanding Android apps and still make it through the day with up to 10 hours on battery.

The 15.6-inch 1080p display has a large 178-degree viewing angle making it perfect for watching and sharing videos. There are also two speakers that flank either side of the backlit keyboard for fantastic sound while enjoying your favorite movies. Above the screen is an HD webcam with an 88-degree viewing angle which is perfect for group calls.

When it comes to ports the Chromebook 315 features two gen 1 USB-C ports on either side which can be used for charging or connecting peripherals. There is also a headphone jack, two USB 3.0 ports, and Bluetooth 4.2.

The Chromebook 315 will launch in February in the US and in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia in April. It will come with up to 8GB of RAM and 32GB of storage starting at $279 USD or $349 EUR.
