Bsquare has officially announced that a plugin for Adobe Flash will make its way to ARM-based Android devices. This means people who own the T-Mobile G1 and HTC Magic could see Flash on their phones before long.
The next version of Google’s Android operating system, ‘Cupcake,’ should be attractive to a wider segment of developers. Our Flash Platform technology browser plug-in will be valuable to OEMs building ARM-based smartbooks and to those who are developing other types of Android devices requiring a rich media experience that is fundamentally different than anything else available for users today. – Larry Stapleton, VP of Global Sales
It was reported earlier this year that Bsquare was working with a global Tier-1 carrier but the port is now available to any ARM-based system or handset maker working on Android. Keep those fingers crossed!
