No longer a beta project, Adobe has officially announced the availability of the Flash Player 10.1 today.  This means that developers and partners are now hard at work to bring us “rich applications and content inside the browser including games, animations, rich Internet applications (RIAs), data presentations and visualizations, ecommerce, music, video, audio and more” to our Android phones and devices.  In a nutshell, we’ll be seeing the true Internet on our phones.

Designed for handsets running Android 2.2 Froyo and above, the potential for applications and games has gone up by the tune of over 3 million developers.  Content partners including, HBO, JustinTV, Mattel, Turner, Nickelodeon, Photobucket, South Park Studios, USA Network, Viacom, Warner Brothers are already optimizing Flash content for smaller screens.  For more information, be sure to hit up the official press release!
