The next-gen Nexus smartphone may have just been found at the FCC. According to details in the federal listing, the LG D820 is an LTE handset with support for AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint. Additional specs look to include a 4.96-inch display, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. Looking at the firmware and OS info, we learn that the LG smartphone is running Key Lime Pie, which is now officially known as Android 4.4 KitKat.

Factor in that the pictures match up with the phone found in Google’s KitKat video and the recent Nexus 4 price drop, we’re totally on board with a so-called Nexus 5 in the near term. We are getting ahead of ourselves, of course, as it’s presumptuous to say that LG or Google will name the phone the Nexus 5. Remember the lessons from saying that Key Lime Pie is Android 5.0?
