Amazon Appstore now available in nearly 200 countries

Amazon announced on Thursday that the Appstore is now available in nearly 200 countries around the world.

“We are thrilled to be expanding the reach of our global app distribution to nearly 200 countries. We think our customers will love the app selection we have to offer and also find features such as Free App of the Day and personalized recommendations very helpful as they discover and explore new apps and games,” – Mike George, Vice President of Apps and Games at Amazon.

Speaking of Free App of the Day, Amazon has brought back two of the most popular free apps (games) since it first launched. May 23 will see Fruit Ninja given away as the free app of the day while Saturday, May 24, will find Amazon offering Cut The Rope: Experiments as the freebie.

In addition to these great deals, Amazon is also hooking customers up with other, limited-time promotions. Head to the Amazon Appstore for savings on titles from Ubisoft, Sega and Rovio, including Angry Birds Space for free through June 3.
