Amazon turns Black Friday into Black November with month long discounts

November is historically the best month of the year for retailers, as they go from the red to the black, and make a massive amount of sales for the holidays.

The world’s largest retailer, Amazon, kicked off its month long promotion of sales as we build up to Black Friday. In the past retailers have limited their sales to the day after Thanksgiving, but in recent years the competition has heated up. We’ve even seen countless shops open on Thanksgiving Day making their employees come into work when they are supposed to be home enjoying turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie.

Starting today, Amazon has upped the ante by kicking off Black November with new and fresh deals everyday. The deals typically get better as the month progresses, and by starting the competition early, I am sure we will see other big box retailers such as Best Buy, Walmart and Target join the mix.

Amazon dropped the prices of its Kindle lineup by $20, which are great for those who love to read. The screen never refreshes like LCD displays leaving less strain on the reader’s eyes. For those who listen to their books instead of reading them, Amazon even offers a free subscription to for those who have a Prime subscription.

You might as well take advantage of the early deals to avoid the battles after Thanksgiving. Get those gifts for your loved ones early and enjoy the holiday season without worrying about shopping.
