Android app size limit increased from 50MB to 4GB

Today is a monumental day for  Android developers as Google announced a pretty tasty treat last night.  Google has increased application size limits to 4GB each, up considerably from 50MB.  That’s not to say that the actual size of an APK has been increased, it still stays capped at 50MB.

Should a developer need some hosting for their application, Google will handle that as well, bundling  two additional 2GB expansion files in the process.  These additional files would be automatically downloaded from the Android Market and the 15-minute refund window will wait until everything is installed.
