Archos has another new tablet coming, this time in the form of an entry-level Element series 80 Cobalt. Pricing is not yet known for the device however the specs tell us it ought to be friendly to your wallet.

Hardware details include Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a dual-core 1.6GHz processor, 8GB internal storage, 1GB RAM, and an 8-inch 1024 x 768 pixel display.  Additionally, the 80 Cobalt offers microSD expansion for up to 64GB, a rear 2-megapixel camera, and front-facing 0.3-megapixel camera.

How much would you expect the new Archos 80 Cobalt to run?  Would you consider it over today’s other tablet offerings?

  1. Wish my archos tablet also has 4.0, but mine is stuck with phone software (2.2). Archos refuses to make an update with tablet software for the tablet they sold me. Those french probably think it’s a phone themselves. Don’t buy that Archos rubbish!
