Archos this week revealed its latest handset, the Diamond S, ahead of its formal debut at IFA next week. Powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop, the smartphone features mid-range hardware specifications with an entry-level price tag.
Details include a 1.5GHz octa-core Mediatek procesor with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. Around back you’ll find a 16-megapixel camera while the front houses an 8-megapixel sensor.
The Diamond S has a 5-inch display with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. While it’s not on the level of other handsets at this size it will certainly be less expensive than most.
Other specs include a 2300mAh battery, dual-SIM card capability, 4G LTE connectivity, and microSD expansion card slot with support for up to 32GB.
The Diamond S will be offered in November with a £159.99 sticker, or roughly $250 US.
