Remember the ASUS Eee Pad Slider which was announced by ASUS at the CES 2011? It’s been almost 8 months and still no sign of the first Android tablet to feature a QWERTY sliding keyboard. During a media event in New York, an ASUS rep officially revealed that the tablet will hit the US market by the end of this month, and that the 16 GB version will be priced at $475, while the 32GB version will cost an extra $100. No word on the exact release date but now we finally know that the beast is coming out after a long period of eight months. The tablet will be running on Android 3.2 which is the latest version of the tablet optimized Android Honeycomb OS.

The ASUS Eee Pad Slider is a 10.1 inch tablet featuring a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB RAM and much more. The convenience of the slide-out keyboard should be a huge draw for many and we’re looking to hear if any of you are planning on picking it up. Let us know what you think in the comment box below.
