AT&T just tossed out a press release regarding the HTC Inspire 4G, promising it for February 13th with a very attractive price point.  The phone, which was announced right as CES 2011 was kicking off, will only run customers $99.99 with a new two-year agreement.  We love the price considering the specs inside: 4.3-inch super LCD touch screen, a 1 GHz processor, 4GB internal memory, and 8-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording.  The Inspire 4G is the first device to feature the new version of Sense, backed by the HTC cloud services.

Now, we do feel obligated to point out that this ‘4G’ device is HSPA+ and not the LTE stuff that AT&T is gravitating towards.  If you want to climb into bed with this phone, by all means, do so.  It’s a great pickup for the money and is easily among the carrier’s best devices.  On the other hand, if you want to be on the cutting edge of data speeds a year from now, you may find yourself feeling differently about your Inspire 4G.  We aren’t here to tell you what to do, so make your own decision!

FWIW: Deep down inside, something tells us that the people looking to grab one of these may not care all that much.

    • I was at the AT & T store in Portland OR yesterday and they assured me the phones were already there in their backroom and that there were more than enough available in stock to cover demand. Of course I don’t know that for sure, but I hope so as I’m getting one!
