AT&T today announced that it will be offering the Samsung Galaxy Camera starting November 16.  Priced at $499.99, the camera runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and features a number of photo options. For a limited time, AT&T is offering customers up to $100 off the purchases of a second Samsung Galaxy smartphone or other connected device just so long as they buy it with a first Samsung Galaxy smartphone. It’s worth clarifying that both devices must be put on two-year service agreements with calling and data plans.

As a refresher, the Samsung Galaxy Camera features a 4.8-inch HD Super LCD display, a 21x optical zoon, and 16-megapixel backside illuminated CMOS sensor.  Under the hood is a quad-core 1.4GHz processor, or, more prowess than typical Android phones.

Customers who pick up one of these Galaxy Cameras this fall and winter can select one of the new shared data plans or choose one of AT&T’s existing individual or family plans. The full range of data plan options include:

  • AT&T Mobile Share: $10 to share between 1 GB and 20GB
  • AT&T DataConnect 250MB: $15 for 250MB
  • AT&T DataConnect 3GB: $30 for 3GB
  • AT&T DataConnect 5GB: $50 for 5GB
