Beats Electronics has officially purchased online music subscription service MOG, according to details surfacing online today.  The terms of the deal have not been disclosed nor do we know exactly what will happen to MOG and its client-base.  Some readers may be familiar with MOG’s online music streaming service which comes in free (ad-supported) and $4.99/monthly rate plans. Handsets with Beats technology lets users stream millions of  songs, however MOG charges $9.99/month for that privilege.

“Time will tell exactly how we integrate our products and services,” said MOG founder and CEO David Hyman to USA Today. “MOG and Beats have a shared vision of providing a premium sound experience to listeners and increasing the emotional connection they have with music so building on the solid foundation we’ve created, the possibilities around future innovation are endless.”
