U.S. Cellular has added another Android smart phone to their roster today, announcing the upcoming release of the Motorola Electrify. Running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and featuring a dual-core 1GHz processor, the handset is essentially a re-branded Photon 4G. Like the Sprint counterpart, specifications include an 4.3-inch qHD touch display, an 8-megapixel camera, front-facing camera, and 16GB of on-board storage. Running $199.99 with a two-year service agreement and $100 mail-in rebate, the Electrify offers a microSD card slot for up to 32GB of additional storage as well as support for Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth.

Unfortunately, U.S. Cellular has not given us a firm date for the device, promising only that it will arrive “later this month.”
