U.S. Cellular wont’ tell you this yet, but they have an Android-based LG handset on the horizon. A clam-shell, dual-screen Android at that. AndroidCentral scored the details on this upcoming smart phone, which should fit well in the mid-range, new smart phone crowd. Look for features such as Android 2.2, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 430MB internal memory/8GB microSD, and 5-megapixel camera. As far as the two screens go, the front/external display is 3.5-inches (480×800) while the internal is slightly smaller at 3.2-inches (480×800). Obviously not a beast, but it’s unique yet familiar form factor should have a decent appeal. Expect to see this with a $250 sticker for customers signing two-year agreements, $450 outright.
