Since its release earlier in the year, Chrome for Android has become my favorite mobile browser.  I simply love the experience on the Galaxy Nexus and would love to see it on some of my other devices.  According to Sundar Pichai, SVP of Chrome and Apps, we may be seeing this happen in short order.  Speaking in an interview yesterday, the Google head indicated that they are currently running a beta 2 and trying to shore up any pesky bugs.

We launched beta 2. We addressed a few things,” Pichai said. “Mainly right now, I’m driven by bug quality and stability. We are triaging, tracking, and trying to make it very stable. It is in a matter of weeks.”

Sounds to us like we may hear of an official Chrome announcement right around Google IO in June.
