doubleTwist announced CloudPlayer yesterday on their blog. CloudPlayer turns your cloud storage providers into a music player.
Currently, you can connect your Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive accounts to CloudPlayer and play media straight from those sources.
doubleTwist doesn’t restrict you to playing music out of a single source, you can connect multiple accounts in order to increase your music space indefinitely.
On top of being able to pull your music straight form cloud storage sources, the app also supports high-fidelity for lossless audio playback.
doubleTwist didn’t stop there, it even supports Chromecast and AirPlay capabilities allowing users to play their content through a Chromecast or Android TV type player.
Android Authority has a great graphically comparison of Google Play Music and doubleTwist’s CloudPlayer.
This service isn’t completely free though. You get a 7 day free trial of all premium features, but it costs $4.99 to unlock all the features after that week trial.
