E FUN, a California-based tech company, today announced that they’ve released a new Premius SE series product in the form of an 8-inch Android tablet. Powered by Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0.3), the Nextbook Premium 8SE features an 800×600 (4:3) display, 4GB internal storage, microSD expansion, and a front-facing camera. The tablet is prices at $169 and includes a number of pre-loaded applications, including Barnes & Noble NOOK Store, GetJar App Store, and a two-week trial of Net Nanny (parental control).
Digging into the specs a bit we find that the Nextbook Premium 8SE has a 1GHz CPU, 512MB RAM, a 4200mAh battery, and your other Android requisites. Certainly not a beast, mind you, but’s priced to sell and is a nice stop-gap between e-readers and offerings from the likes of Samsung.

I like it! Got one for my Birthday back in April 2012. It would be nice if it had Google Play, but searching online I have been able to install other markets, with more apps than the Getjar App Store. Not a bad tablet. Runs pretty quick, and I cant say I have had any problems except that sometimes it has a hard time playing internet video.
8″ with 800×600 resolution?!
I can see the pixels from far away on my 7″ Dropad A8 that has the same resolution. I imagine 800×600 looks even worse on 8″.
