The popular check-in application for Android known as Foursquare has received a new update which allows for NFC support.  Designed with Android 4.0 in mind, the chief feature in the v2012.02.08 release is support for Android Beam in the Venue, Lists and Me pages.  Should you want to check-in via NFC, share your recently visited spots, or personal details, you’ll be able to tap two devices together.  Of course, given the limited number of devices powered by Ice Cream Sandwich or built with an NFC chip, the software is ahead of the hardware.
