Yes, the Galaxy Nexus presentation is live, but still we suggest you read this. Why? Well, it’s the official specs for the Galaxy Nexus. Here’s a quick list:
- HSPA+ or 4G LTE, depending on region
- 1.2GHz dualcore processor
- 4.65 inch 720p HD Super AMOLED display
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
- 5mp autofocus camera with LED flash, autofocus, no shutter lag and fast shot2shot
- 1080p HD playback and recording at 30 FPS
- Bluetooth 3.0
- USB 2.0
- WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n
- NFC chip
- Accelerometer, compass, gyro, light and proximity sensors, barometer
- 1GB of RAM
- 16GB or 32GB internal storage
- 135.5 x 67.94 x 8.94 mm, 135 grams
- 1,750 mAh li-ion battery
These specs are more than fine. The only drawback is the 5MP camera. Yet, it’s still a Samsung device, and their lower megapixel cameras are known to be of very high quality. And yeah, a barometer. Your phone will now send you a reminder when it’s raining. How awesome?

Excellent! Watching the live webcast. This phone is nice on every aspect, and I agree that the 5MP is a drawback. For me, it is either this or Moto Droid Razr. Help me out guy!! :-)
Galaxy Nexus. It’s way more awesome, it will receive updates more quickly and on top of that, it doesn’t have that freaking Motocrap software.
You should definitely do a comparison Between the two. I would love that article.
Grumbling about a supposed lack of “megapixels” in the camera is the silliest criticism one can do about this kind of phone. Megapixels don´t mean much for image quality and you, as a tech editor, should know that.
